Dr. Aaron Miller, O.D.
Aaron Miller completed his Bachelor of Arts studies in Biology at Taylor University in 1997. He then earned a doctorate in optometry from the Michigan College of Optometry at Ferris State in 2003. He joined the team at Zeeland Vision in 2006. Aaron sees patients of all ages with an interest in primary care medical optometry including management of cataracts, macular degeneration, glaucoma, and diabetic eye disease. Dr. Miller also has experience in gas permeable and soft contact lens fitting. He is enjoying life in Zeeland and Holland with his wife, Shelley, and their three children, Grace, Emmett, and Joy. Aaron enjoys biking, running, and many other sports with his family.
Dr. Brian Konynenbelt, O.D.
Dr. Brian Konynenbelt completed his undergraduate studies in Biology at Calvin College in the Spring of 2005. After Calvin, he attended the Michigan College of Optometry at Ferris State University where he received his Doctor of Optometry in 2009. Thereafter, he completed a one-year residency program in 2010 with a primary focus in Ocular Disease and Refractive Surgery at TLC Eyecare and Laser Centers in Jackson, MI. Since completion of his graduate studies in 2010, Dr. Konynenbelt has worked part-time at the Grand Rapids Veterans Outpatient Clinic and Zeeland Vision Services.
Dr. Konynenbelt's interests include the treatment and management of ocular disease, including cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy. He also enjoys fitting contacts lenses, whether it be a child who has never experienced the freedom of eyeglasses or an individual who is in need of specialty contacts for keratoconus.
In his time outside of work, Dr. Konynenbelt enjoys spending time outdoors fishing, hunting, golfing, and playing basketball. Over the past several years, he has also participated in a medical missions team to Gracias, Honduras, where he has helped in the co-management of cataract surgeries and fitting eyeglasses to villagers.
Dr. Thomas Bock, O.D.
Dr. Bock graduated from Hope College in 1975 and Illinois College of Optometry in 1979. He has been in private practice at Zeeland Vision Services since graduation. Dr Bock specializes in contact lenses and family eye care.
Dr Bock yearly provides eye care to the under privileged through mission trips to third world countries. His hobbies include gardening and furniture restoration.
Tom and his wife Linda have four grown children and five grandchildren who provide lots of entertainment.
Currently Dr. Bock is on the board of Lake shore Pregnancy Center and has served on the Zeeland School Board and the local board of administration at Central Wesleyan Church in Holland.
Dr. Stan Konynenbelt, O.D.
Dr Stan attended Calvin College, and graduated from the Illinois College of Optometry in 1974. He began his practice of optometry at Zeeland Vision Services in June of 1974. He is married to Jayne (Nagelkirk), has four grown children, (two wonderful in laws), and four beautiful grandchildren. He has been involved in numerous non-profit boards, including Calvin College, Zeeland Christian, Holland Christian, and the Christian Learning Center. He has been involved in many roles at church, and currently serves on the board of Spectrum Health-Zeeland Community Hospital. He has volunteered for third world medical mission trips.
His area of interest is adult vision care, with an emphasis in disease management.
Hobbies include hunting, (pheasants), fishing, (walleye), biking and gardening.
It has been Stan's pleasure to provide quality eyecare to the West Michigan community for the past 38 years, and for at least 10 more years to come!
Dr. Ann Hemmeke, O.D.
Dr. Ann Hemmeke earned a Bachelors of Science in Vision Science from Ferris State University before completing optometry school in 2004 at the Michigan College of Optometry. Since graduation, she has worked in several optometric and ophthalmologic clinics in the greater Grand Rapids area. She joined the team at Zeeland Vision in 2013, after her family relocated to Zeeland. She also spends time each month volunteering in the eye clinic at a non-profit, faith based clinic and she leads eye care teams to southern Haiti. Ann enjoys providing general family eye care to patients of all ages.
Outside of eye care, Ann enjoys running, biking, and playing board games with her family. She and her husband, Brian, have two children, Tyler and Elise. She is involved in several activities at her children’s school, is involved in her church, and is a board member at Audio Scripture Ministries in Holland.
